Paolo Ardoino, at Tether’s helm, shed light on the matter, emphasising that whilst the substantial sum has indeed been minted, it sits in a holding pattern. The freshly-created digital assets are earmarked specifically for upcoming market operations, including potential chain migrations and new issuance demands.
The significant token generation, which blockchain surveillance outfit Whale Alert first spotted roughly four hours prior, forms part of Tether’s broader treasury management strategy.
