25-4-2025 – ARK Invest has substantially heightened its bullish outlook for Bitcoin, painting an ambitious picture for the digital currency’s trajectory towards 2030.
The investment firm’s latest analysis suggests Bitcoin could reach $2.4 million per coin by decade’s end, marking a dramatic upward adjustment from their previous $1.5 million projection. This revised forecast implies a remarkable year-on-year growth rate of 72%.
At the heart of ARK’s methodology lies a sophisticated model accounting for Bitcoin’s genuine scarcity – a factor often overlooked in traditional valuation frameworks. The firm’s calculations incorporate the significant portion of Bitcoin that remains dormant or has been permanently lost from circulation.
The forecast rests upon several pivotal assumptions about Bitcoin’s growing role in global finance. ARK envisions institutional investors allocating 6.5% of their global portfolio holdings to the cryptocurrency, whilst projecting it could displace 60% of gold’s market capitalisation. The model further factors in mounting demand from emerging markets seeking inflation hedges, alongside exponential growth in blockchain-based financial services.
This enhanced projection stands in stark contrast to ARK’s earlier ‘Big Ideas 2025’ report, which had outlined three distinct scenarios for Bitcoin’s 2030 valuation. These ranged from a conservative $300,000 in bearish conditions to $710,000 in their baseline model, topped by their previous bull case of $1.5 million.
The investment firm’s bold revision reflects growing institutional confidence in cryptocurrency’s mainstream adoption.
